my manager from my 9-5 job shows up one night, and he kept walking up behind me so he could see the song and he would write it down on a list, i told him that i would give him the play list at the end of the night, but he said he would forget all the songs that he wanted…
on thursday i had this guy come up and stare half my set, he was blocking the crowd, he was trying to figure out how everything worked
on friday i was playing teach me how to douggie and it was going off the floor was packed, then i get this chick come up to me and say “can you play the beatles, this is shit, no one likes it” i look at the d-floor and im like.. err….
I hate it when people stare like they never seen some1 dj before….just last week my team had a meet and greet with other djs to add to our team and i was spinnin for the night…i think its the worse wen ur djin a spot full of djs lol…they ALL stare…reason being…i have no idea…but i honestly dnt stare at other djs wen im somewhere…i just have a good time nd listen..but it was jus awkward havin eyes from every angle just staring at me while i spin for about a hr..these dudes did not move at all
the most annoying thing to me ( even more annoying then request) is when another dj come up to me and say ” I’m a dj to, take my number so we can copy each other libraries”. What kind of ish is that!
I just finished a mix, and this drunk guy comes at me and puts his arm around my neck (to pull me close so i could hear him, and his breath was mad nasty) and I pushed his arm off of me. He then makes this gesture like “oh excuse me” so I say it’s not like that man, you just violated my personal space threshold no hard feelings. Then I had to explain to him, how it’s my body and I have the right to not want him to touch me. Like I’m talking to a 3 year old or something.
